Loss Control Service Visits
Our loss control professionals conduct regular on-site loss control/safety consulting visits at each Fund member throughout the year. The visits include participation in Safety Committee meetings, which include reviewing losses, providing Loss Control guidance and support as appropriate, and conducting physical surveys of facilities and operations. We also provide site specific training programs for Fund members. We also assist members in development and implementation of formalized modified duty/return to work programs.
Our team will also follow up and review the status of any Loss Control recommendations that are developed during the physical inspection. We also assist members in complying with recommendations submitted. Each member is provided with a Fund safety manual, and we help support the implementation of those procedures if desired.
Loss Control Resources
We supply the members with informative Loss Control Fact Sheets on a periodic basis, as well as general information for distribution to their employees. In addition, we can provide a National Safety Council Defensive Driver Course kit to Fund members on a free-loan basis. This will enable members with designated certified instructors to conduct in-house training. We also maintain a library of model policies and procedures for a variety of topics including an employee handbook and return to work policy. The Fund also has an online LMS system with hundreds of training modules available on a wide range of topics.
Regulatory Compliance Services
Statewide will assist members with PEOSHA regulatory compliance and training. We can provide sample written program and assistance in customizing for compliance with applicable standards. Statewide also conducts Right to Know/Hazard Communication training courses at each Fund member location (upon request or need). Training is conducted in accordance with the New Jersey Department of Health Right To Know/Hazard Communication Program requirements.
Job Site Safety Inspections
We conduct periodic job site inspection visits at member locations to observe safety performance of employees. As a result, we provide recommendations for upgrades based on workplace safety violations/deficiencies.
